Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

I'm Dave, I live in the Surrey area. I recently sold my Audi TT 180Q because it was just costing a silly amount to run! If you want to see some pics i can post some

Anyway, i have just as of this morning agreed to by a 56-Plate Fabia vRS in Black with only 33k it also has the added bonus of Factory Fitted Xeons, i am getting it from a Skoda Dealer for £7200, is this a good price?

Anyway i will be picking it up later today as i need it ASAP.

I will look forward to chatting to you all :D

Anything i should know about the Fabia before i pick it up?

Cheers all - Dave

Hi and welcome!

Great choice of car and the best colour too:D Hardest to keep clean though:rotz:

Seems like a good price to me, has it got cruise and heated seats also?

Is it your first diesel? It was mine and took abit of getting used too, just don't plant your foot until your over 2000rpm, not good for the clutch, DMF etc...

Enjoy the spare cash every month:thumbup:

Welcome Dave, Probably worth the price you paid from a Main dealer for a good example, and you have the piece of mind of a good warranty. At the moment VRS prices have gone up slightly as their is no new equivalent model in the Skoda range.

Plenty of info on this forum for you.

Hopefully you've been on a long test drive already to pick up any faults.

Welcome :)

Thanks for the welcome everyone, i have just picked it up now :D No its not got Cruise or heated seats, but i could not be to picky as i needed a car today :o because i live 60miles from my work lol

Yeah its my first diesel so it does seem rather odd lol So why is it not good for the clutch to plant it before 2000rmp? Surely if you are fully off the clutch it should not make any difference?

Also my clutch pedal when your bringing it back up you can feel the vibration of the engine? Is this normal for a diesel? And you can hear is kind of creaking a lil bit (the pedal that is)

Cheers all - Dave

Thanks - Dave

What I meant was that you shouldn't plant your foot on the accelerator before 2000rpm.

Once I'm over 2000rpm, the turbo will have spooled up, and I can really put my foot down and wave goodbye to the Beemers that are usually attached to my back bumper:rofl:

Just a different technique to driving it compared to a petrol,

HTH
