MFD3 code

Featured Replies

My local breakers has a MFD3 for decent money so I'm tempted to get it. Only problem I can see is that it wont have a code card with it.

If I install it can the key be obtained cheaply anywhere? :holmes:

One option is to go a main dealer but that will cost. There is bound to be someone on here that will know of a method or knows someone who does.

if you take the registration number or chassis number of the car it came from to the dealer, they can get the code from their computer. Depending on your relationship with your dealer this could be free, or they might charge.

Other than that, not sure, there are places on the web that break the code if you send the unit to them.

Good luck

These days the code isnt given out. It's downloaded to the car direct from the factory.

May need proof of purchase too.

so can it be uploaded back out of the car?

the used ones for sale on here and ebay seem to have a code card with them, so do you get one of them with a new car?
