ASAP answer needed!!!

Featured Replies

Ok I am meeting a guy from another forum who has vagcom/all the other stuff.

Is it possible to do auto-windows on a 06 plate fabia vRS? I.e. is the CCM the same as the previous years? As vag products does not do my year... (up to 05 iirc)

Vagproducts

Lol, you do know that all of those products are cheap knock off chinese replicas (in some cases illegal copies) which someone is selling at gross profit ?

No contact details apart from an email. No Address etc etc

Did I say anything about buying from them?:thumbdwn:

All I want to know is can it be done on the later Fabia vRS using the correct equipment without having to use some sort of modulator?

No you didn't, but if they did do a module for your car, I'm sure you may have bought one.

Seriously, did you even read my first post? I am meeting a guy with all the gear and wanted an answer.

So either, do you have an answer or you do not?

If not why are you commenting/spamming this thread?

Anyone?

No, auto-close isn't supported.

You'd need an additional 3rd party module, such as:

Alientech, LLC

There is another company offering a raft of different options and module features, but the name/info is escaping me at the moment.

Steve

You could also try:

ECU Flasher KVW100 Auto Window Module

Plugs into the usual OBD port and claims to code the functions in for you. I tried one in my last Fabia and only had partial success, by getting my sunroof to close on lock, but I wasn't successful with the windows unfortunately. Apparently this is to do with the versions of the convenience model. Mine was a fairly early vRS, so perhaps you may have more luck with a later model. Just depends whether you want to potentially gamble for £30.

Steve

The KVW100 is what is on the vagproduct site Wardy, but no mention of compability.

Why don't you get a decent attitude then more poeple might be happy to help instead of "spam" ;)

See my reply, I used one on the Fabia - but as I say, had mixed results...

I would not use that module as I have heard it messes with the alarm? Well the guy tried his best but it didn't work he says however hes going to have a word with a few other techs and see if there is a way with using the alien tech module, which would require taking the panel of the door.

Like I said, the function is not supported with the Fabia's convenience module. But you asked and went ahead and tried anyway? :)

I had no issues with the KVW-100 and the alarm, but I agree - it's not the best solution.

With one of the more advanced modules, yes - it plugs into the wiring within the driver's door and is mounted there.

Steve

These are the modules I was looking at. Seem more reasonably priced and also more flexible than AlienTech:

AutoWindow - remote window controller
