Considering DPF removal

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Hi have a 56 plate vrs TDi and I am considering having the DPF removed. However have a cpl of questions hope you guys can answer.

1.) How much bhp/power gain can you expect?

2.) How much improvement do you see on mpg?

3.) Does it have any effect on emissions/MOT?

4.) How much can I expect to pay to have the work done?

Thanks in advanced

Andy

I have read on seatcupra.net they seem to reckon you can get 220-240bhp with the dpf and remap and around 3mpg increase in consumption. Regards to the MOT it is only a visual smoke test so your car has to be really bad to fail and i think the price is around the £700 mark

hope this helps

Mike

I wonder will it ever be possible to remove the DPF from the CR RS...

Sounds pricey, but do let us know if you go ahead...

It sounds quite cheap in comparison to a new DPF when you need a new one - I think Skoda said it was a £1000 job! Mine had a new one at 22,000 miles and one year old.
