Injectors or pump?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have a Fabia 1.9 SDI (ASY engine). It developed a problem (lack of power and white smoke smelling of diesel) and the Skoda garage I took it to said it was either the diesel injection pump or the injectors but that it would cost more to fix than the value of the car. It is 2001 model in nice condition so I really don't want to scrap it.

I have spoken with a guy at www.dieselbob.co.uk and he reckons he can test and service the injectors and pump for much less than the cost of replacement. Having already spent several hundred pounds to get to this point, I'm unsure whether to send the parts to him.

It would be quick and cheap to get some injectors from a scrap yard to rule these in or out however apart from the Fabia 1.9 SDI, I don't know what other models used these injectors - it would increase my chances of finding some if I knew.

The part numbers on the injectors are (028 130 203F) and (028 130 203E this is the one with the wire on). Does anyone know what other models (VW, Audi included) that I might find these injectors on?

Cheers

Martin
