ive got a 57 plate octy vrs petrol and i want to know if i can fit comming home and leaving home lights? ive only got the standard light switch fitted would i need to fit a new switch with the tunnel light facility (basicaly what do i need to do to get it working)

Pretty sure these can be switched on via VCDS/VAG-COM if you know someone with it, no need for anything extra.

The tunnel light mode only works with the light sensor embedded in the windscreen with the rain sensor.

You can enable/disable the coming/leaving home lights with VCDS. If you have maxidot it can be controlled from that directly.

no prob ive got vagcom but unsure how to do it, any one got any ideas?

So I take it from the above that once it is enabled with VCDS it can then be controlled from Maxidot? I have the light/rain sensor on the 4x4 but not the switch.

Not 100% on that TBH, I enabled cornering foglamps on my L&K and it never appeared on maxidot.

I thought all maxidot equipped Octavias had leaving/coming home lighting anyway? :confused:

Take a look at the above thread...deep in it some where it outlines the code you will need to adapt to allow CH/LH. It seems that some cars show up the option in the maxidot once enabled via VCDS while others dont and if you need to delete it you will have to use VCDS again. Let us know how u get on!
