Dishwasher recommendation please

Featured Replies

An odd post for the tech shed but just been informed our old Hotpoint Dishwasher has given up the ghost after 10 years service. It's beyond repair as the spot welds that hold the carrier for the main door seal have gone.

Can anybody recommend one please, as it's close to Christmas I have only got a budget of around £250, but would like to get the best quality model I can for the budget.

Thanks in advance peeps

We've got a Zanussi... had it donkeys years!

Edited due to being too predictable and not reading the previous post properly :o

I'll get my coat :(

To be fair, I'd have to say spend a little more on a Miele if you can but that's about double your budget.

I think at £250 they are all much of a muchness and cheap, so you'll either have one that dies at 1 year and 1 day or lasts ages based on luck.

if you had a bigger budget, I'd say Miele, but how about the John Lewis own brand machines? I think they're re-badged Bosch, so should be pretty good.

The washing machines are rebranded Zannussi, so I'd think the dishwashers might be the same.

The Miele are certainly good machines and very quiet too.

Mate - if you see any Bosch ones you like, let me know, I give you good deal! :D

I do you special price, I do you Asda Price, yes?

Miele dishwashers get a  from me definitely worth the money, and if you shop around discounts can be found.. ;)

Recently replaced our hotpoint (less than 3yrs old) tumble drier with a Miele unit and the difference is amazing.

At that budget its probably going to be a Bosch for a good bet but as others have said its sometimes down to luck at this price range. :( If theres anyway you can spend more then I'd also recommend Miele - they are sheer quality, easy to use and very quite. :)
