vrs boost gauge

Featured Replies

hi everyone , i have a 2006 octavia vrs tfsi and i was wondering if you can fit a boost gadge to them and where can i buy 1 and how hard are they to fit

have a look on JKM's webstore, I believe they sell all the bits you need

IIRC there was a device that plugged in to the car, instead of the OEM BT phone kit, and enabled stuff like boost to be displayed in the Maxidot display. I think Kufatec or Supaskoda used to stock it. Sorry if this is a bit vague, heading off to work so I haven't had the time to search for you!

whats the best place to get sumthing to hold the boost gadge, has any1 got 1 fitted and whats the best place to buy a gadge

Buy any gauge but usually the electronic ones with the sensors are quite good. Then just buy a pod the same size as your gauge, 52mm etc.

whats the diference between the Electrical Mechanical boost gadges lol and what 1 do i need?? i havent a clue

Electrical runs a tube to a sender which is then wired into the boost gauge.

Mechanical runs a tube all the way to the gauge.

You can get more features with an electrical gauge, peak hold etc but you will pay for it.

Pick any you like, I had a prosport premium electrical gauge with peak hold in my last car, it was very good.

does the sender come with the electrical 1s i think i would rather have 1 of them

does the sender come with the electrical 1s i think i would rather have 1 of them

yes. I would run the pipe through the bulkhead and keep the sender in the cabin under the dash as opposed to in the engine bay. I had one bust through cold weather.

Yes there is one available, I highly recommend you DON'T get one,

I had one, it was useless, crashed all the time, which is a known fault that cant be avoided. then stopped working all together and left me out of pocket
