Nope :)

They're good cars and those that think otherwise are retarded.

A lot's changed since they became part of VAG and people need to adjust their attitudes accordingly.

Alernatively if it's the badge itself that bothers you, it can alays be popped off and replaced!

Just awaiting delivery of my new VRS Estate and trading the A4 Avant S Line.

Had 3 Audis for the last nine years and have had the same stupid thoughts as you.

I have got a lot more for my money than I could ever have got with a new Audi. Who is really having the last laugh?

Glad its not just me then B) the Scout is parked up outside so theres no going back.... :D

I advised a mate to go for the Octy vRs a couple of years ago and he thanked me every time we met, I finaly got around to following my own advice.Im sure i`ll settle down in a few days

Hello & welcome!

I was always wary of 'Skoda' from what people have told me in the past. I then want and bought my Fabia vRS 5 years go and it's the best car I have owned yet, just keeps on going, cheap to run and has outlived most of my friends cars too!

Will certainly get another one when this one has done 150,000 miles +.

Iv had the Scout only four days now but already Im seeing why you like them so much, its just a good honest car.

Today was the first time Iv had some time to have a proper look at the car and I like what Im seeing, Iv been driving VW and Audis for years and I can see the similarities in quality, no doubt i`ll have some input on these forums from time to time, is there anything I can expect problems with on an 07 Octavia?

Cheers Dave

:giggle: Skodas are crap, not sure why I've stayed loyal for 20 years TBH!

 only joking.

Hi and welcome.

The badge has a lot more meaning in terms of engineering, innovation and tradition than VW, who have only been around half as long as a vehicle manufacturer.

Welcome. I love the badge :)

From reading reviews etc and looking at the quality in the show room, you've made a very wise choice. Unfortunately there are still badge snobs out there. Although I haven't took delivery of mine yet, I believe that your getting a car of the same quality. The brand name will only keep improving as the cars get better..

To the OP, been with skoda for years, and very few comments of the era, and i drifted off to citroen later, and didnt the pi55 taking start, for having a sh1troen.
