Power Steering light

Featured Replies

Hello, i started my car today and the power steering light stayed on aftr the 2 second period and while i was driving, i turned the car off and started it again and the light had gone out, any ideas what is up, should i get it checked out or just leave it? Thanks Glenn

Most likely car battery. PAS pump takes 60 amps at times. After battery, PAS steering angle sensor, or wiring at PAS pump connectors.

:+1:

The only time I've had the light stay on was after a weekend of it standing and starting the car with out waiting.. (key in, engine start).. can't remember why now and isn't my normal habbit.

I turned off and on again and the light went out.. so guessing wasn't enougth power to do everything all at once.

Just keep an eye on it and hopefully it'll not happen again.
