If only I could understand what he is saying.

Thanks Tom.

Would also be interested to know if they were running on standard fit summer tyres or winters. Plus what if any difference there might be with the off road engaged in the aquaplane test, although I think they were driving outside it's operational envelope.

Slovenian apparently.,

I have no idea what he is saying but judging from the film he must be talking about oversteer and understeer??

The Yeti would have been very entertaining on snow covered roads if it was possible to switch the ESP off. It is a very good and safe car with predictable behaviour on snow as it is, but for pure FUN, the ESP should be possible to switch off by the driver..

:)

Nice shots lifting both inside tyres when hitting the dry surface after the turn

Was it 2 or 4 wheel drive?

Was it 2 or 4 wheel drive?

Since the front wheels were spinning in some situations, mus be 4WD

Sorry, but I can't quite work out the logic there?

If it is only the front wheels spinning then it must be front wheel drive, surely?

Looked FWD to me...

Certainly the car was displaying pronounced plough on understeer, typical of most FWD but 4WD can do that also depending on set up. Very poor filming typically they spend a lot of time looking at the presenter. It was hard to tell in the available shots whether the rear wheels were being driven as well.

[unfortunately YouTube is banned here at work so I can't have another look at it, but I'm more convinced it is front WD. I would have thought that the 4WD would kick in with that amount of front wheel spin.

I believe that you right Graham, unfortunately the film only showed brief glimpses of the important clues. My PC is playing up going slow and I got fed up waiting for the film to rerun so that I could study it more closely.

Looked like a demo of ESP to me. You can see the individual wheels being braked by the system to tug the car back on line.
