Audi Q5

Featured Replies

Was having the TT serviced on Friday by Audi. While waiting around, decided to have a look at the Q5.

Compared to the Yeti, it looked like a bigger car (longer and wider) on the outside. Inside space was not enormous, "pimped" up with sports seats were so so. Many controls and switch locations and quality were very similar / same as the Yeti and Golf.

Q5's rear window was very small, and A pillar caused a huge blind spot that would be a big issue for me as most on my driving seems to be declassified country roads with some quite sharp bends.

Nice as Q5 is. I'd rather an Elegance Yeti and pocket the +£12k difference. :)

I have never even sat in a Q5. From what I can see they are a bigger car with a huge range of options and built to an exceptional standard. way out of my pice reach new. Ergonomically the clutch is supposedly in the wrong place, forcing the driver to sit at an uncomfortable position with legs pushed over to the right, possibly not noticed on a short acquaintance but could cause some orthpaedic related problems over time. Obviously designed for left-hand drive or an automatic shift.
