Has anybody got LED sidelights to successfully work with the CAN BUS system in our cars? I have been searching and it appears to be a bit luck of the draw :(

One of my sidelights has gone incandescent and needs replacing so thought about swapping them to LEDs for longevity and match the Xenon lights (and prob a pair for the wifes Furby if they're not to expensive.

I tried a set that i use to run in my astra (ice white) even when they momentarily come on they didn't look that impressive tbh.

I currently have a set of the philips bluevision sidelight bulbs in there, and there quite bright.

You must have CAN safe ones

The octy sidelight bulbs are very small, as is the opening that they are held in place with. So if you go down this route make sure the bulb itself is no bigger than the current standard bult otherwise it wont fit through the hole in the headlight. As per the previous post you need to get some that have built in resistors to overcome the issue with the bulb failure system thats cuts power to failed bulbs.
