Audi A2

Featured Replies

On my way to the hospital this morning I spotted an A2 which something I haven't seen for quite a while. I always that the A2 was an ugly car, a poor mans Audi a bit like the Volvo 340 which was a DAF in reality. I think it was one of Audi's failures . Would that be a correct assumption?

Most definatley a fail car, which is a shame because it had all the ingredients that make a great car now. The thing is, no matter how technically advanced or put together it was, there is something plain wrong about driving an Audi with a 1.4TDI. The whole aluminium thing is a bit of a problem too, not many places that can repair it, some insurers wont cover them and on some models their door hinges are ripping away from the aluminium bodies. They rattle, they are quite unreliable and sport models are unbeleivably uncomfortable

I have a soft spot for it though (1.4TDI SE) and would have one in a heartbeat! I have considered one a few times before

It was way ahead of it's time!

I love them :D

It's quite an unfortunate target along with G-Whizzes and Smart cars for being "carried off" by people

it takes two men to lift the bodyshell on the production line. (Edit: Obviously thats just the shell)

I dont condone this in any way................ :giggle:

I really like them. A friend has got one with the s-line kit, coilovers, 18's and is remapped to 120-130 bhp. Great little car. I was going to buy it from him before getting the Fabia but he decided not to sell it.

Doh
