MOT and Head light adustment

Featured Replies

Hello,

I just failed my MOT because of the adjustment of my headlights. While the mechanic tried to re-adjust the headlight he concluded that a new head light is required. The adjusting lever (???) is supposed to be broken. It is apparently just a small plastic part that is gone. Does it really need a new head light to get this fixed?

It seems a bit over the top to change a working light...

Thanks

You can't buy the internal parts for the headlamp separately. If it is a face lift model with the plastic lense, sometimes the reflector detaches internally, which, provided that nothing is broken can be re attached. Otherwise it's a replacement headlamp.
