Has anyone come across this before?

Coming back from Swindon on the B4000 yesterday in some pretty grotty weather when suddenly my Maxidot starts complaining about the screen wash bottle being empty after only a couple of squirts. Went to top it up this morning when I started hearing water running from the off side.. A quick sniff and sure enough it's washer fluid. Turns out that the hose going to the nearside washer has sheared off at the join. Looks like the plastic snapped clean off. When I pressed the washer, all the fluid just pumps out, taking the line of least resistance.

It's only 3 months old and so far running well. Booked in for Wednesday to get it fixed along with the fuel filler cap spring release thingy not locking in most of the time.

Re the fuel filler cap, lots of peeps have the tendency to press it again, just to make sure it's closed..however, this opens it again...try checking this

Its definitly the spring bump that's faulty. Even just pushing it in without the cover and it pops out.

Hopefully the jet will be take the old one out, remove the body-coloured cover and fit to new jet. Although I suspect parts will need to be ordered.

I'll post how it goes.

Latest is that the fuel flap has been fixed and the washer is on order for the new year :clap:

Bad news is that the car is still at the dealers as the rain on the ice has created a skating rink

Finally booked in for next week now.

Turns out that some &*^&*))&*%^&^^()^&*)^)(*&&_*(+(*&&%^$$%% has give it a nudge and that forced the unit against something solid. Also the bumper no longer sits level although it's only really noticeable when looking head-on. GITS!!!!
