Info on Columbus soft and hardware please.

Featured Replies

Can anyone help me please. I have just bought an Octavia with the Columbus installed, the stealers have quoted me £80 to check for & install the latest software. I read in one of the discussion threads about the hidden menu. I gained access & found the following information among a lot of other info which I think is relevent.

Del part No 1Z0035680A ; HW-Version H05 ; SW-Version 1024 ; SV SW Version C.EU.5.540.t730 ; HW Vehicle 0x001 ; SW Vehicle 0x44260C02 ; boot loader vehicle 0x 44260A00 ; HW Main 00010002000501 ; SW Main /11.6_P6 ; boot loader main 00120209.

Any information as to whether this is a recent version of the system installed would be grateful, if not how can I go about upgrading it without turning the whole system into a dashboard mounted brick!

Thanks,

Ian.

At £80 they are having a laugh - read the 268x firmware thread along with the 266x one and then download 268x and load it in....

There you go - lastes update installed and £80 saved emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

Thanks guys,

I'll give those a go, merry Christmas to you all.

The software on your columbus will the latest officially released version, V268x and V266x are both leaked from VW and may contain bugs.
