There is a fix for that on this site somewhere, buggered if i can remember, as I need to do mine too. try searching for glove box rattle fix. see who finds it first.

Turn your stereo up.... Works with most of the rattles on my car.

Fixed my rattle last year with a couple of strips of rubber on the inside of the lid, where the rubber pads contact it. Turned out it was the locking pins that were rattling due to not being under any tension.

Never rattled since!

I had to remove the box and give it a good shake to locate the source of the rattle!

its almost as annoying as the handbrake rattle :D

Turn the exhaust note up.

I've tried all the fixes on the site and none have worked. From what I've figured out, the glovebox rattle is a bit like some of our common human diseases - there are many variants which have similar symptoms. Having tried all of them logically and carefully, I now need the help of a specialist.

I know it is linked to temperature as it happens more at this time of year, but that's as far as I've got with regards a solution. The stereo volume fix works a treat, but not when the kids are in trying to sleep. I've got to stop driving around whilst leaning over to the passenger side and pressing various places on the dash/glovebox to stop the rattle. If you find a fix other than any others mentioned on here, let us know as after 4 years of ownership, I need closure. :S

Same worked for me but I used some sticky foam pads.

The thing doing my head in is the bloody rear shelf!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a f ing ! annoying noise! It seems to be the 2 rear panels that hold the parcel shelf rattle like mad! Any ideas any one else had this? Glovebox makes a rattle too, but its not to bad at the moment (famous last words!) Ive seemed to of fixed the handbrake rattle a while ago with some thin foam.

I've given up on rattle in general until the weather warms up a touch. Since the -2'C or below snap that we've recently had my car rattles like mad and only starts to let up after 40 minutes of the heaters being on :(

Yeah the cold weather is making it much worse!

its almost as annoying as the handbrake rattle :D

I fixed that particular irritant with some card and blutak

Took me ages to work out where the rattle was coming from though

My parcel shelf rattles but the stereo is louder. If I turn the stero off the kids screaming helps mask it.

I got the winter rattle on the glove box. It's a pain in the eye tbh
