Help Needed! On Springs And Brand

Featured Replies

Im desperate to get my car lowered, but I still want to retain the comfort, as I use it every day.

Ive been given a price of £121.99 for a KW Spring kit.

Has anybody had any experince or knows any one that has. I just dont fancy buying a duff set of springs, I know they have been given lots of thumbs of for the proper damper and coilover kits. Just wondered if there springs were as good.

Any help would be great :thumbl:

i would be interested in whether you would need to adjust camber if you lower by 30mm (eibachs). It just says you can use standard dampers on the eibach website but nothing about camber adjustment. Is 30mm not big enough to warrant adjusting camber to even out thread wear across the tyre and that it's just like the same effect in terms of camber as having a fully laden load/passengers?

Do the Skoda 15mm lowered springs use standard dampers and same camber and same everything else as a non -15mm lowered car? If so, could I just buy -15mm springs from Skoda and fit them without voiding the warranty?

hey Torque - did you get your 17" wheels? I'm thinking about 16 or 17" as well but not sure about tyre size without giving a rock hard ride or affecting gearing.

Nah they should be ok, went to a dealer for my car service and they had one lowered and it looked fantastic and running normal dampers. And nah not ive not still standard at moment, might be getting some lightweight wheels at some point mind! :D

i'm a bit worried about messing up things, tracking, uneven tyre wear, etc. if lowered.

i know you've said no but just in case you change your mind you know you have a potential buyer for the standard second hand wheels

Well yer if you fit the springs as normal then yer you can get that probelm, But the chaps who are fitting them are retracking the car for me at the same time, which of course prevents any problems.

And my answer is still no :p I would rather have 2 sets than just the 1.

And if i did sell them i would want quiet a bit for them as they all mint condition and got some proper pucker wheels one.

Just buy them elsewere mate!

Yer I know about the eibach springs and they have been given very good write ups, ive also seen a mk2 fabia sport with them on, and its stance was fantastic.

Just want to know what peoples thoughts are with KW

Areet mate, was woundering where you seen the fabia with the Eibachs, thinking of getting the springs and would to love to see a car with them on like. Can't seem to find much for lowered mk2's.
