Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows which of the following two engine oils is the best to use for a Superb 2.0 140tdi fitted with DPF? Thanks.

1: Quantum Platinum 5w-40 - (VW 502.00, VW 505.00, VW 505.01)

or

2: Quantum Longlife III 5w-30 - (VW 507.00)

VW507.00 must be used with a DPF

(so No. 2)

I use the Quantum Longlife III 5w-30 - (VW 507.00)

got my shell helix ultra extra diesel in france which is same spec and it was about 25 euro's with a litre can stuck to the 5 ltr container....would have bought more ...but they sold out !!
