After a bit of deliberating I finalised the spec and got my order in today

Rear parking sensors

Spare in lieu of inflator kit

Got a DtD price whuch I think is an absolute bargain for the amount/quality of car. Seriously looking forwartd to it arriving1

Next stop remap, black wheels, eibachs!

Well done Lovely spec, nearly went for white myself but stuck with my favourite colour

Be prepared for a long wait I've been waiting 14 weeks so far but expected at dealer next week. Its been in Grimsby since 20th Dec.

If you have achieved the DtD price direct from a dealer thats an ace result. I got DtD price plus Â£250.

Which dealer are you getting it from?

I would have gone for the front PDC as the nose has a splitter and its easy to catch a post/kerb etc plus its only a few extra hundred quid. Enjoy!

Well its coming from DtD's dealer, did it all by phone, they were happy to deal direct as they wont be paying their comrmission I guess. Mine is DtD web priceas of yesterday plus 0.5% (rather than the full 2.5% increase for new VAT) I understand that Skoda are 'protecting the VAT' for orders made by end of jan but there must be some cost to the dealer as I needed to do the deal today to get the best price. Incidentally I have noticed that the prices have now gone up on the DtD site to take account of the new VAT rate.

so far so good from the dealer I can wait no problem if its 14 weeks tho would love it for March - I need to sell a car or two in the meanwhile!

Hello everyone I decided to update my 2014 Skoda Octavia to a newer age. First changed the MIB1 to MIB2, and then decided to add a rear view camera (there are other projects on the way like MFK1 to MFK2). I want to tell the story so someone else does not make the same mistakes I did. My Skoda never had a camera, so I bought one from a scrapyard, a 3V0827566N without the wiring harness, it scrapped with the body. Prepping to do 2.0TSi clutch in future - plenty of time and opportunity as I mentioned recently I have a 1.8T L&K Octy also ! I'd seen a comment at some point someone recommending to change rear main seal whilst you are in there. Something to watch for? Also as below

One of the scourges of Greek roads are abandoned motorcycles. Hi! I'm in need of some help please. My Octavia estate sat for 8 months unused. The battery went flat (AGM Varta) and doesn't charge. I got the car started with a different battery and then swapped in the dead battery to see if it would start charging. BUT, now the engine was running I needed to move the car a bit and found that the gear stick won't go into reverse gear. It can select 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th but not reverse. I've ordered up a new AGM battery (due in a couple of days) but this reverse
