noise?

Featured Replies

iv had a seat cupra before and there was a nice sort of whistling noise from the enigine (when the turbo kicks in) while going throught the revs, not getting the same nosie from my octavia vrs, is this how it is in the vrs? (turbo kicks in fine n smooth all the way in each gear).

also, it is wiser to get my dv fitted before or after a remap, is there a difference?

Hello,

Standard Octy airbox is very good at damping down any noise from the DV, perhaps more so than the Curpa (either that or Skoda's are fitted with better sound deadening :D ). If you want your woosh noise, you'll have to stick some sort of CAI system on. As for remapping before or after DV change, I'm not aware it will make any difference. People swap DVs for something nice and shiney under the bonnet and because after market metal items are more robust than the cheapy plastic OEM item.
