After a long and hard drive through terrible road conditions, I finally got to pick my Octavia up today! Diesel vRS, 2008. After test driving it I had been really excited about picking it up and now I have, I remember why I was excited :D

On the normal drive through town to get to work, where I was getting 18-20mpg in my old BMW 525d, I was getting 39mpg! On the motorway, I was getting 55mpg where in the BMW, I was getting 38.

I am quite amazed at the drive - it is even better than the BMW!

Yeah the 5 series BMW's are thirsty buggers round town! Especially the autos (which I had). Can't actually say I was all that sorry to see it go! :)
