I purchased my VRs from the deal in August and got an extra years warranty that runs out in November.

I am putting the car in for it's 40k service tomorrow, what is covered by the warranty? or will I have to pay for anything that needs fixing?

Depends on the warrenty really. You should have had a warrenty policy when you bought the car explaining what is covered and what isnt. usually wear and tear items are excluded but some warrenties cover more than others.
