Hi all. Picked up my 2001 Skoda Fabia Classic yesterday. Although it has no central locking, manual windows, etc. I love it! Such a quality car fair play. Looking forward to see how much MPG I get (must be better than the 29mpg I had with my KA) Hope to speak to some of you on here soon. I have discovered 2 minor issues with the car so far, Rear windcreen washer not working and boot doesn't open, unless you hold the catch in the up position - which involves 2 people (or long arms!!)

Sounds like your rear washer pipe has popped off and leaked onto the boot mechanism! 2 problems in 1!

I am living in Swansea, City Centre (I'm an Amman Valley boy though) - been catching up on some sleep for most of the day after picking my car up from Clacton-on-sea, Hell of a treck!! (and I got lost)

I popped into my local dealers today to get some bits (oil filter, air filter) place was very quiet (not a bad thing for me) got served very quickly and guy was very helpful. Thanks for the reply Ibiza, wil check this out tomorrow.

Really pleased with the car, it's only on 39k and in original condition. What annoys me is every blinkin car wash is closed in this weather, when you need it most to wash the salt off.
