Clutch and Steering Question

Featured Replies

I have recently become a Fabia owner. The car is in very good condition but I have a couple of problems.

The clutch has started to slip when I go up the gearbox which I guess means I need a new clutch. The car is a 2001 1.4 8v which has done 45k miles and the biting point is ver.

Any idea of the cost of a new clutch and any recommendations of where to get it done in the Ipswich area ?y high on the pedal.

The other problem I have is the car pulls left if you take your hands off the wheel and its not the camber of the road - there is also a small vibration felt on the steering wheel as if the tyre has a flat spot (which it hasn't) - any views of the cause - suspension bushes or just tracking ?

Many thanks for any help

James

pulling to the left, this is quite common on Fabias, could be just the tracking, could be the console bushes, could even be the rear axle,

but it could also just be like that

Vibration on the steering wheel is usually unbalanced wheels. You could get this checked at a fast fit garage - they should be able to check the wheel alignment and possibly the clutch too. Probably the cheapest/most hassle free way of getting these things looked at.
