Servicing

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Wondering your thoughts on this. The car is now has roughly 9.5k on the clock, currently on a variable service.

i do 25 town miles a day and roughly 30 a-b road miles with brisk driving on the weekend.

The engine is a 2.0 tsi( chain driven i think) ,car is VRS Le

Should i stay on variable or move over to fixed?

Fixed

Fixed. Always fixed!

Probably a stupid question, but what's the best way to tell what the car is set to ?

Many member here use variable with out any issues at all. So long as you stick to the guidelines and select the correct service level, then there are no issues.

Memebr with VCDS can tell and adjust accordingly

Is that the VAG-COM software ?

I still have the free version from Rosstech from my old Golf VR6.

The plug is the same I think isn't it ? Do you know where the socket is ?

Only Microcan or hex+can leads will work.
