Well.. i looks a bit more agressive and less flashy.

plus i did it cus i wanted a new look. Hey, it a new year so something had to change.

Who knows, if everything goes well.. maybe something else will change. B)

paint the whole car matt black

Black wheels suit the car

Naa,buy a can of paint remover and put them back they were ,the silver wheels are a good look,If I were you the change I`d make is lowering it by cutting the springs,

I'm all for the black, but SWMBO liked the silver!

I like the way the bumpers work with them! Favorit Scout? :D

I think it looks beasty on the black wheels!!!

Looks smart too and quite clean.

Thanks. i like the black and blue combination. later i'll be changing the side blinkers to clear ones. a little lowering and that would make a good look

yea looks good , maybe black the lower sides up to the door protector it would look like it was hovering thern lol

definitely needs some lowering but i like it, dont think you see many of these no more

Oh . TeflonTom, check your messages! :p

I don't like anthracite rims on pretty much anything, and those spokes are wrong for the silver rim and gold spokes/hub look that I do like.

Why the rediculous profile tyres? They must be massively bigger in terms of rolling radius than the originals...

Oh . TeflonTom, check your messages! :p

just checked and there's no messages

i dont know what the original wheels/tire combination was. I got the car with these wheels n these series tires.

The tires dont seem that big to me...

I think OEM was 155R13, or sometimes 175/70R13 on higher spec UK models (SUK upgrade). In either case 185/60R14 would be a same rolling radius upgrade. These say there's probably a 15" tyre that would fit too, but calculating the aspect ratio is left as an exercise for the reader.

Because low profile tyres are awful?!

I went for a bigger profile on my alloys last time for two reasons:

1. It was cheaper

2. I was sick of the god awful ride on the old tyres!

I actually quite like the look of fat tyres on alloy wheels tbh!

And I do actually quite like these wheels in black. They match the bumpers etc nicely.

Honda VTEC :o woot B) would make an interesting ride if it fits :)

ooh, rather you than me, it's going to be a struggle to get that in there... good luck!

As Tom says, particularly since a lot of Honda engines turn the opposite way to what is conventional, so the gearbox should be on the RH end rather than the LH.

oohh dont forget to spend a day seamwelding the engine bay and x-member mounts on the body then.. different tho

  • 2 weeks later...

if you finish this it will be amazing!

what engine is it b16a1 or a2?
