Hi, I'm trying to reset the INSP message which is being displayed with VAG-COM. It appears to connect to the car correctly and says 'downloading data'. I go to 'Instruments' and through another menu and click the reset button but nothing happens. Any ideas?

Have you tried using the SIR menu on the start page of VCDS?

I'll have a look for that. I think I'm maybe meant to go to 'Applications'->SRI reset rather than Instruments. Will give it another go.

Yeah, try that..

That automates what you need to reset in the adaption values.

Or just reset the message via the handbook method, if you're having difficulty?

The "Stored Value" is the current value for that channel.

Enter the "New" value of 0 (zero)

yeah, why use VAGCOM when it tells you how to do it in the vehicle handbook :|

Even me, who will use a gadget or piece of electrical equipment at any opportunity, used the handbook method when the garage forgot to do it!
