Help Needed.

Featured Replies

Ok on the HPFP on a Octavia vRS TFSi (pre-Facelift) their is a brass valve called a Schraeder valve i think

Apparently this is not a seperate part from VAG and they want £164+ VAT for a new pump which i am not paying just for the valve.

Does anyone know where i could get one (apart from a scrapyard as i have tried but no luck)

This pic shows the bit i need

Thanks in advance

I may have an idea, but I don't know what an HPFP is, or what sore of pressure it runs at, so I'm reluctant to expand without further info.

It's the fuel pump

A Schrader valve is what is used on your tyre, but the one in the picture looks to be bigger. If a regular tyre pressure guage or pump fits, try your local fast-fit for a metal valve probably suited to industral or agri use. Obviously depends on pressures though...

About 140bar

It's the same sort of valve as there is a nipple under the dust cap you press in to release fuel pressure before removing the valve

Try Rema Tip-Top in Leeds (part of Stahlgruber group) who supply fast-fits, and ask about spec on pressure and fuel resistance.

I agree with jeeves..if this is the part you need , Schrader valves are the same on a push bike, as on a c130 hercules transport aircraft !!..you can get one here
