Following on from Tom's Mazda 3 blog, I thought I'd continue the Mazda theme with details of my new company car.

I started a new job this week, and have been given a Mazda 6 Estate 2.2D (163ps) TS² in Aurora Blue.

I didn't get any say in selecting the car - it had been picked by my predeccesor before he left - but it was delivered brand new the day before I started and so far I'm more than happy with his choice.

My first task was to dig it out of the snow, followed by a 140 mile drive home from the office in temperatures that got down to -9 deg C.

That's it so far - I'm still reading the manual and exploring its various features - but I'll post some more thoughts as time goes by.

A protection detail is also on the cards, but much as I would love to do it immediately, I guess I'm going to have to wait for the weather to improve.
