Yesterday I started having a problem that the unlock on my remote wouldnt work. The lock and boot buttons both worked however. After about 5 minutes of pushing and pushing, it finally worked, but again today it is not working. Seems to be a tempremental button (car is about 3 years old) - is it worth taking the remote apart and seeing if I can clean it or something? If so, any online instructions?

Could simply be that the battery needs changing, 3 years is a fair time - may have worked if the battery got a little warmer by your holding the remote for a while.

Take it apart and try removing/replacing the current battery first as a film sometimes builds up on the battery surface enough to stop a low battery working.

Thanks very much for your help - replaced the battery and that did the trick. Didnt occur to me that might be the problem as some of the functions (locking and boot opening) were still working. I figured if it was a dead battery none of it would work.

Guess unlocking takes more juice than locking.
