I've finally decided the spec. I want

vRS 2.0 T FSI DSG Estate

F&R parking sensors

Curtain airbags

Full size spare steel wheel

Sunset glass

Xenons

Auto dimming RVM etc.

In Anthracite

As I am now pushed for time before the VAT offer expires, which dealers in the East Midlands are worth talking to?

£18696 on DtD, realistically how close am I likely to get to that with talking to dealers, I have a Fabia vRS to trade so I know I am at a disadvantage.

Nearest to me are Hortons (Lincoln) Rainworth (Mansfield) & Gordon Lamb (Chesterfield). Who is likely to offer the best deal, who should I visit last to sign on the dotted line?

I would have thought a "good" unmolested Fabia Vrs would be an easy sell privately allowing you to go down the broker route if dealers aren't playing ball. Should be a good car to trade in too as there is no equvalent at the moment.

Certainly is unmolested, although one of the very early car 2004/53 plate, i've owned / driven the car from new 48k miles.

Rest of sales pitch describing my car removed as it could e breaking forum rules...

I can get close to the DtD price and will happily take your Fabia in part exchange, however during the waiting period for your new Octavia vRS you can sell your Fabia privately if you wish.

Hi

I purchased from Rainworth Skoda who matched DTD price as did a few others on this forum, took delivery in Dec. Contact there is Jeremy Taylor or Steve Cantrel, 01623 623400,

good people to do business with & kept me informed during the 11 week wait until i collected the VRS. I recommend them highly. You will have plenty of time to sell your Fabia

privately while your octy is on order.

I used Skodashop.com and it ended up being rainworth who were the dealer who gave the low quote, so it may end up being them who supply your car through drive the deal.

Haven't taken them up on it as I'm at the opposite end of the country, but it was interesting enough an offer to find out who it was.
