If the centre bore is 73 then it's my understanding you'll need centring rings down to the VAG groups 57.1

Also, the offset is pretty close to original but they are 7J vs 6.5J of the oem wheels so you'll get (roughly) half an inch more wheel both sticking out of, and into the arch.

I think they'll go on but might rub a little with out spacers and without the rings they won't centre properly and'll vibrate.

I could be wrong on all of the above though as I'm only just learning all this stuff.

firstly thanks for your reply! im totally rubbish at this stuff its just ive seen a set of wheels i can probably get for under 150 without tyres and with the car low and with the wheels pushed out on spacers itl look good. im guessing the rings you talk about are spigot rings?.

if so happydays as they arnt expensive atall.

cheers

andrew

Check they clear the brakes, as people on here have said they will, others that they won't.

Otherwise I haven't got a clue, it's makes no sense at all to me!

The most important bit you haven't included is the PCD, you need 5x100 for a Fabia

1/2" bigger so 1/4" either way...

Yeah, sorry, minor math moment, I meant above.

Glad I warned I coulda' been completely wrong now! ;)

Well there's like 8 holes so I'm guessing they'd fit....if they don't I can always fleebay them.

Erm no they wont!

If there are 8 holes they are multiple fitment for 4 stud vehicles, the all modern VAG's have 5 stud (meaning multi fitment wheels would have 10 holes!!)

****! I have just won these wheels. :/ is there anyway to make them fit!?

When you say 8 holes, I think he means like Mercedes 8 hole style alloys! :)

Spigot rings can be purchased - these reduce the wheel wobble on the centre bore.

Adaptors can be purchased but unless I can see a pic of the wheels I can't comment.

Not without adapters (at around £200 for a set of 4!)

On ebay they are the seller agreed a sale. Search lenso dtm mesh alloy wheels.

I'd post a link but on my blackberry

I take it they are these ones? as they are the only ones on there (included sold items), but you said you have won them? that auction has still got over a day to run :S

The ones on the auction i have linked to are 4 stud wheels (multi fit) and will not fit without the stud adapters i previously mentioned.

I would withdraw your bid.

Ok well I'm a bit ****ed now lol. Ill email him later and withdraw. We agreed 100quid for them. But if they are no good then they got to go. If the adapters where reasonably priced I wouldn't mind but ill never pay 200!

Thanks

Sorry to hear this, And I'm sorry I assumed they'd be 5x100 as you put so much other detail up I thought this was a given.

Like my Boss always says, Assumption is the mother of all fuk ups.

I hope the seller understands and lets you bow out of the sale.

You could get 4x100 adaptors cheap if you look around, try edition 38 forums.

Not sure the wheels have 4x100 either, he only mentions 4x130, he doesn't say what the other fitment is.

If it is the wheels from the link above then the fitment should be 4x100 as he says they match up to his sons mk2 Polo. Nonetheless, they don't fit a Fabia without messing about with adapters and that makes a cheap set wheels not so cheap any more, and you should tell your insurance you're using wheel adapters - if they fail for some reason and cause an accident you'll find yourself with no cover if you don't declare them.

Again, if it is that link then the auction hasn't ended so you can retract your bid. Read this for how to do it - http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/buy/questions/retract-bid.html As a matter of courtesy you might want to contact the seller to let him know why you've done it - only fair really.
