Skoda Colours

Featured Replies

Thinking about new car but the current colours don't appeal to me and the choice is limited.

Some of the colors are just morbid. I want a red car -not Corrida Red but a metallic red. Volkswagen do such a colour and have a much better choice.

Skoda told me they do those colours because people want them -but do they? Was it Ford who said "You can have any colour as long as its black"

Is there any way of getting a special paint order?

Unfortunately, some of those colours, like dark metallic green/british racing green (Forest Green Metallic ) or light metallic red (Flamenco Red Metallic) don't seem to be available in UK. Instead we get cappuccino and soapy light greenish blue (Acrtic). In similar way, we don't have ivory alcantara options, just black alcantara, and no Elegance 4x4, just 4x4.

Hi Morganic,

There is a dark Metalic red paint – Rosso Brunello. If you go on the skoda 2nd hand site and look for octavias 1 year old, there are a few of that colour.

Rosso Brunello is dark burgundy/brown

Gorgeous colour on Scout, and I only seen one example of Octavia in that colour so far.

Yes thanks -seen it. Might be okay on Superb but it not on an Octavia. On a dark day looks more brown than red-drab. Why did they do away with Flamenco Red?

Car manufacturers try to second guess fashion trends when they select colours. It's no co incidence that manufacturers tend to offer similar shades at the same times and that those shades vary over time as trends in colour come and go. You always have your basic white, black, red, blue and grey (Silver) but within those groups the actual shade changes from year to year.

The fact that the OPS doesn't like the colours that are currently available is just bad luck for him or her but that doesn't mean the community as a whole doesn't like or at least accept those colours. Next year there might be a colour they like and there might not that's the luck of the draw. There is always the option of buying a vehicle doing a complete strip and getting it repainted any colour you want if you like, it's only money.

you cannot go wrong with race blue metallic
