Hi all, new to this site so just a quick Hello,

Just picked up a cheap Fabia VRS with a few faults but these little cars are fantastic and couldn't pass on it, biggest fault being P1163 fuel temp sensor putting on the engine management light

NOT wanting to be cheeky this being my first post but is this the small valve just down on the right of the fuel rail?

Has it had any sort "tuning box" fitted? The really cheap ones that are resisters bypass the fuel temp sensor in fooling the ecu to dump more fuel in. Its cheap and effect way of getting more power However end result id the ECU puts up a fualt. Reason being the ECU has ben getting the same fixed temp for god knows how long so thinks theirs a fault. To fix it just clear the codes.

Failing that its a new temp sensor probably.

fitted new temp sensor and checked mulit plug all seem to be ok, tryed to clear fault but still there but now saying short to +

starting to think tuning box has been fitted and poped a fuse or worse buggered ECU . is there only the one fusebox at the drivers side dash?

Hi, did you ever resolve this? I've replaced the Fuel Temp Sensor but can't clear the error now...
