Bolero Radio Removal - Help Needed !

Featured Replies

Hi Guys ! (& Gals !!),

anyone able to tell me step by step how to lift my Boelro head unit out of my Dec 09 VRS ? Need to get in to plug my CC9060 Bluetooth in, and worried about breaking/bending something which I should've left well alone.

Any advice gratefully received folks !

Cheers, Ric.

Ric,

You need to hold the left and right edge of the radio trim and pull forwards, the whole front comes off and exposes the screws. I did mine it came off quite easily.

Best of luck.

Matt

I need to do mine for the same reason (bluetooth kit) so if i get to do mine first I'll take photies.

Put one or both hands on the trim above the ashtray and gently pull out moving up both sides, refitting is the same as removal starting at the top

Am I right in thinking no stereo removal keys are needed for this?

None needed for the Stream unit anyway and I can't see any reason Skoda would bother changing this. With the ashtray half open you can reach the bottom edge of the trim to pull it off. Be gentle with it to make sure you don't kink the trim anywhere. I used a plastic tyre lever to help with the clips further up from the ashtray, but with a bit of care that's not even necessary.

Heres a pic of the bolero screws:
