Computer display in rev counter has life of its own

Featured Replies

My 1.9Tdi Comfort bought a few months ago - I didn't realise that the display in the rev counter displayed anything more than the time for ages. The the cold weather came and it showed the outside temperature which is useful. Recently though it seems to be switching between other displays - on the way home yesterday it suddenly started displaying the range in miles left in the fuel tank, and then about an hour later it switched to MPG which it is still showing.

I can't see any controls to swap between these functions and can't explain why it randomly seems to swap from time to time. Any ideas?

There is a button at the very end of the wiper stalk - press it up or down to cycle through the various readouts. Sounds to me like you've inadvertently nudged it when using the wipers.
