Does anybody care about YETI approach angle?

Featured Replies

Hello mates, i found no topics talking about the baby's approach angle here. I am preparing to welcome a 1.8TSI 4x4 SE, but not happy to this angle. and I searched all accessories available, but no result. Who could give me helpful hints?

BTW, another issue I entangles is rear seat. I am 175mm height, i can not feel comfortable when i try all possible sitting style. the length of the seats at the back is too short. i am eager for solution.

Front embankment angle 19

Rear embankment angle 26,7

Ramp angle 19,4

Slope angle (°)/ climbing ability (%) 29/55

As for the second question: Either you get shorter then 175, or get a bigger car :)

Compared to it's competitors the various angles are about average, and to me perfectly adequate, but then I'm well known in some circles for putting a Freelander in impossible places!

To be honest most owners are never likely to need to know them, or get into the situation to they might.

One trick to be comfortable in back is to remember to lift the headrests up from their down position. I am 180 cm and OLD, but have no problems in back. Try also to adjust the seat back angle.

yes thanks for above folks. it looks like i have no chances to be shorer than what i am now, in my rest time of my life, and Yeti is secured by me. so i will use a sentence of Adidas "nothing is impossible", i will fixed it my self.

yeah it's approach angle is average level, but compared to Tiguan track&field version, Yeti supplies only one selection. yes still i will dig out the result what i need, and share here with you all. maybe someone needs it.

Thanks. but you know if you spend 4 hrs or more in the back seat, maybe you will complain it. the point is the surface of the seat can not give you enough support to your legs, especially for a long time. but i can find a good solution in the end. i will.

Is it your car? Will you be driving it? Then who cares as long as your seat is comfortable!

If you want a comfortable rear seat, buy a Maybach, or S-Class... or even a Vauxhal Signum!

Was provided above by milovac they are in the brochure also if you look carefully, page 22!

Everyone looses hight, by the end of they day we are smaller than what we started off with. Over our life time we will also loose hight noticeably because of dehydration and damage to our spinal discs and other structures. It is also common for lower limb amputees to loose height even when provided with their prosthesis. So do not be so sure about not loosing height throughout your life who knows what might be around the corner. :giggle:

If your taking the Yeti off road extensively then the Diesel variants might give better control depending on the type of usage, they have greater torque particularly the 170CR

I find the back seats a bit short for my legs, but not too bad for my back; and the drivers seat is excellent, and the drivers seat is the only one that matters to me (198cm).:smirk:

very cool comment.

i agree first part of your words. but anyway i will not sit down and do nothing to what i am not satisfied. maybe we have entire different attitude towards things.

as to half of your words, thank you for your attention. but it has no relation to what i am talking about.

This does ;)

The video here

shows the Yeti doing very well in a quarry somewhere in Germany.

Do you often take a full car for hours at a time?

I just don't see the point worrying about it, that's all!

It's not like you're using it for a taxi...

Incidentally, a Mk1 Superb has well... superb rear seats I found out from a taxi
