Very Rare Monster

Featured Replies

Well my Monster is 6 months (I have had it for 3 months) old today. Just paid my £150 road tax for the next year. Apart from the Elegance head light issue, it has not missed a beat.

At 3.5 on the clock of around town driving, it is creeping up to 45 mpg (Maxidot). Given the winter snow, the power from the 140 bhp unit and the quality of the Elegance I’m very happy.

But I still haven’t seen a mate for it……Very rare on Merseyside B)

Hi Ray,

just over three months of Monster ownership myself and likewise were still on our own. Regularly drive all over the East Riding, parts of North Yorkshire and around York and not a sniff of another Yeti, even though I know there out there. For example my dealer sold their stock Aqua 140 SE the day mine arrived B)

Regards,

TP

i think I've seen three in the wild - one was when it was particularly dark so I wasn't certain, and another was rapidly moving away.

to be honest that doesn't surprise me that much. Most buyes will order only once they've seen/driven one in the metal. if the Yeti's been in showrooms for 5 or 6 monhs now, and the order to delivery time is say 10 weeks, that leaves only about 3 months worth of Yetis on the road. Add to that the fact that the full range of specs and engines has only recently become available.....

The recession must be having an effect too. My guess is that the flood gates will open soon and all the orderd ones will be on the road: I've only recently started to see many facelifted Octavias, and they've been available a year or so.

I agree Helix. Volkswagen have taken thousands of orders for the new Polo launched last September and yet I have seen no more than half a dozen on the roads so far. They are apparently taking up to 16 weeks to come through and so in twelve months time there will be new Polos everywhere. I am sure that Yetis will become similarly less elusive when the great mother Yeti has pushed a few more out.......

Speaking of which, Shrub, when are you expecting yours to be "delivered"? can't be too long now

I have been told build week 11 which is a bit of a wait although I am still hopeful that I get it in March. James at Allams did say that they have increased production and that possibly the build week will move forward slightly..... I am going to see him tomorrow to drop off the part exchange so will get an update then.

I ordered in December and have just been told delivery sometime in the first two weeks of April :'(

There there Charlie B; at least our Yetis will come with updated software and hopefully no more early production gremlinsemoticon-0144-nod.gif
