Guys, sorry if this is a question people have asked a few times before but is it possible to fit the Columbus or Bolero system into the pre FL Octavia. I have a 58 plate VRs and need to know if the unit will fit straight in or do i need to modify wiring / dash surround?

It's a different shape to the Stream that you presently have and, from recollection, the pre FL finish is different to the FL finish.

It may well need coding for full compatibility though.

These are the part numbers for a pre FL Octy vRS if you have climatronic:

1Z0 858 069 L 2AU - Trim for climatronic switch for vehicles with navigation system bright aluminium NO PHONE SLOT

1Z0 858 069 Q 2AU - Trim for climatronic switch for vehicles with navigation system bright aluminium PHONE BRACKET SLOT

I used a 1Z0 858 069 L 2AU last year when retrofitting a Columbus

Edit: Others have used 1Z0 858 069 R 2AU, which is apparently identical to 1Z0 858 069 L 2AU
