I am told that those buying an Octavia on the continent will get a better spec than UK models. I also hear that Chinese Octavia's will have many more luxury features than the cars sold in the European market, as they are being marketed in China as a "premium" vehicle.

I'm particularly interested in pre-FL Octavia II's, out of curiosity and interest, can anyone provide a summary of what is different? Is it just the base-level specs that have less kit in the UK, or would a top of the range UK Octavia have less than it's EU / Chinese cousin?

One feature available on the continent but not offered in the UK is an upgraded sound system (with an additional 4 speakers and auxilliary amp). On the FL vRS electric folding mirrors are standard in some markets but are not even an option in UK.
