Homebrew LED Octavia lights

Featured Replies

Every now and again, when I find there is nothing new in the world of Octavia to think about, I bash www.octavia-forum.de into Google Language tools and see what exciting things they are doing over there.

There's a lot of interesting content; also a Russian board; and whilst Google Language Tools only gives you it in pidgin English, it is intelligible enough.

One of the guys is making Homebrew LED retrofit clusters for all of the lights in the Octy II; with the resistors to fool the sensors e.t.c.

It's worth a look....

Anyways, he is getting people to Beta test them... presumably... he will eventually be selling them.

Does anyone know enough German to organise a group buy? I finished at GCSE and about all I can remember is...

Das wetter war herrlich, die sonne schient und es war keine einzige wolke ins Himmel - the weather was marvellous, the sun shined and there was not a single cloud in the sky.

They probably all speak perfect English, but I wouldn't want to insult them by sullying their board with a begging letter in my mothertongue.

Is there anyone biligual who wants to facilitate? I'm sure we can organise an enamel pin badge, reading Briskoda International Ambassador or similar ;)

I wouldn't want to fit them here because of:

1/ The fitment would more than likely kill any warranty that you have on the car.

2/ Their use would probably be illegal, especially the way this pathetic country has gone down the same dumb-ass yank route of the sue, sue, sue, they're be more trouble than their worth.

If they were a legal fitment & gave the same amount of light as Xenons then maybe.
