Im Ryan, and 30 and from Portadown, currently own a Fabia 3, 1.9Tdi, but ordered a Octavia Elegance, 2.0 TDI on 16th Feb as ive got baby no 1 due in July and prams dont fit too well in a fabia

Hi Ryan. I am from Co Down outside Newcastle and have an RS Octavia. You will get your pram in the boot no bother.

What doesn't fit into the boot are:

• assembled fitted kitchens;
  
• puppy litters of 67; and
  
• small towns with a bus station.
  

Everything else will fit. Did you deal with Howard Abraham of Lurgan? If so, did you get a good deal? Just nosey...

Hey Ryan, im from N.Ireland, Coleraine area if you know where that is,

I have 2 kids and the Octavia boot swallows all their stuff with room to spare for the shopping, best combination of value for money car, cheap to run with reasonable performance and family space I could find!

Yeah the boot is massive, of course i know Coleraine.

ive ordered this one from John Mulhollands in Randlestown, got by Fabia in Mervyn Stewarts in Lurgan, and thought they were very good

I drive a Mk 2 Octavia 2.0 TDI Sport at work, its a great car, but the Turbo is sorta bucked in it now, so aint the best now

I'm from Northern Ireland as well - not far from Lurgan. Don't think much of Howard Abraham - John Mullholland's is a much better place for parts! Don't know about sales though.

Used Mulhollands myself. Dealt with John personally. Sound bloke.

I wasn't too impressed with the 2 NI dealers I spoke too.

I went to the dealer in Lurgan to buy an Octavia VRS in September 09 but the sales guy wanted over list price.

Mervyn Stewart on Boucher road wanted even more for a new order.

I don't mind paying a bit more to support the local dealer but Mervyn Stewart wanted 4k more than my DTD qoute. 4K !!

DTD got the sale. Picked up the car last month, no regrets.
