Climatronic pulsing

Featured Replies

Hi guys ive got a problem with my climatronic everytime i put it onto (on) the engine revs starting pulsing massivly looked under the bonnet and the aux drive belt is slipping with every pulse

any ideas what the problem is?

the aircon is working nice and cold and blowing strongly

help!

maybe the tensioner on the aux belt is knackered.... or the air con pump has an issue.....

aircon pump siezing?

I'd stop using it until you get it inspected and some maybe some fresh oil in it.

Whereabouts are you?

It's cold up here and the air con shouldn't work below 5 degC.

Hi the air con is working its over 5 degrees do you think i should take it to an aircon specialist or my normal garage?

I would go for an aircon specialist so that they can check over the system.

Here is an update tested the fault codes and brings up the " Positioning Motor for Temperature Flap v68" intermitent fault

ive also noticed that the 2 main fans at the front dont seem to be turning at all any suggestions checked fuse on top of battery all ok

The two main fans do you mean the radiator fans?

They are only supposed to come on when the coolant temp gets up to about 100 degrees c. Take the car for a bit of a drive then leave it idling for five minutes and the cooling fans should come on briefly then turn off again.

neither of the radiator fans come on at all full stop just taken it too a specialist he had a brief look and checked gas etc the aircon isnt coming on at all now

so booked in to be checked out next week. im hoping its a relay

aircon does *not* work at temps of 5 deg and lower on the VAG cars, so remember that just incase it is cold when the aircon chap looks at the car.

bump

I'm not guaranteeing that they'll be able to fix it, but if you're anywhere near St. Agnes, or don't mind driving - call RK Engineering on 01872 553839. Very knowledgeable guys and if they can't fix it, they know a lot of people locally.
