Stock injectors vRS

Featured Replies

Hello,

I need a info regarding the stock injectors (314cc) on vRS...

When do they max out? 210-220bhp?

After the remap sometimes at full boost at around 3000rpms I can feel sudden loss of power, nothing big but more like I taken my foot of the throttle for msec and pushed it again.

It is nothing serious but it staring to get on my nerve.

I have scanned ecu and I have 0420 error but nothing else.

I have read on the greek tuning forum that a 4 bar fpr is a must for 1 and 2 stage remap.

Also look at this; http://translate.google.hr/translate?js=y&prev=_t&hl=hr&ie=UTF-8&layout=1&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.carsinspections.com%2Fgr%2Ftuning%2FSkodaOctavia%2Fskodaoctavia1.8T.html&sl=el&tl=en

This guy said that this is happening because the stock injectors are already maxed out on stage 1 so 4 bar fpr would help solve my problem?

This what I have already done;

Coli packs, spark plugs, N75J, Silicone TIP, time belt, water pump, G40 sensor, KO3s turbine(new fitted 3 month ago), DV,.etc

In arrival; Milltek downpipe decat and Seat Cupra FMIC

Best regards

May sound silly but have you done the throttle body clean?

AFAIK you only need to upgrade the injectors if you're changing the turbo to a K04 or something even bigger.

There have been cars on here before quite happily running 230-240 on standard injectors (obviously with every other mod you can imagine though!)

Have you talked to the people that did your remap? Some stage 2 remaps do require a 4 bar FPR but some don't it depends how the map is written and how much fuel it is requesting at particular revs. Remaps can also cause flat spots and jerkiness, might be worth talking to other members who have the same remap and see if they have the same problem.

The 0420 error is something to do with your Lambda sensor I think?

I have pulled down the hose from the TB and it looks really clean but I will clean it tommorow (I bought the green "thing" yesterday for TB) ,it won`t hurt. Also I did the TB alignment using vag-com.

On the stock map I didn`t have this problem, after that they uploaded map that was too aggressive for my setup and I had problems with misfiring at WOT (injection time at 5800rpm was 22ms!) but no problem as described in first post.

Now it doesn`t misfire at WOT but jerks at 3000rpm (sometimes) so I was thinking to put 4 bar fpr to try solve the problem.

The 0420 error is Efficiency below threshold - catalyst, but I don`t worry about it because milltek downpipe decat is coming soon.

I think they're only about £40 so could be worth trying. It will have to go back to the remappers after you fit the decat to have the engine management light mapped out so you could ask them then if they will rolling road it and check whether it's not getting enough fuel at 3000rpm?

It`s around 55eur for me ( I know the guy who sells bosch), regular price is 78eur (bosch) and VW dealer sells it for 124eur (OEM)!!

Definitively that is my next thing to do after I fit complete exhaust and FMIC, I was thinking to put the spacer between second O2 sensor so it`s not directly in the stream of exhaust smoke.

I have seen this on vwvortex and supposedly this works.

Best regards

I have the stock injectors with a 4bar fpr on a k04 and they work fine. There's a slight adaptation on group 032 mult (about +5%), but otherwise the car runs fine. I'm planning on getting bigger ones though ;)
