Featured Replies

Got a message from home (out in the Peaks) that there was about 2" snow mid afternoon. By the time I got out of Sheffield early evening and into Derbyshire it was a blizzard and minus 1, with up to 4 or 5 inches where it was drifting.

The vRS handled brilliantly :D and used the brakes as little as poss. Took it v steady, (tho eventually had to overtake a beemer tootling along in 1st at about 5mph  ),

Hills, twisties, ABS kicked in only once on a v difficult L downhill turn at Foxhouse. But even me scoob used to slide on that one :P

Got the standard Michellin tyres that aren't even worn in yet.

Glad it hadn't seriously frozen... nothing's safe in the ice...

But on overwhelming  for the Fabia in the snow :D

Take it easy tho guys & gals

Agree 100% ive just come back from driving 100 miles in the snow and the car felt so safe and still handled fine :D

its not snowing in freaking york :(

I was out in my earlier this year when we have the freak snow storms. It took nearly six hours to get from Bicester to Northampton, very boring but the car was excellent.

Just let the engine pull you along at low revs and its great.
