Skoda Customer Care?

Featured Replies

Has anyone had reason to contact Skoda Customer Care recently. I've sent them 2 enquiries but nil response. A few months back I no sooner had sent the email and they were on the phone. Are they still operating?

I phoned them last week and spoke to someone no problem.

If contacting them by email expect ridiculous respond times. From my own experience, i got an email today (15/03/10) as a response to my inquiry from 3/3/10 !!! So you either call, or wait. Maybe Skoda CC is just flooded with the questions about missing power folding mirrors from Elegance spec :) Either way, do not expect much (especially for general questions)- I asked about possibility of adding an extra (3-spoke steering wheel in my case) to my order, and Skoda CC said it cannot be done after order went through the system. And here I come, my dealer easily pushed this option 2 1/2 weeks after the order took place.

Perhaps its because I fill in one of their enquiry forms. Probably they go into a black hole! I will contact them by phone.

I've always found their response times to be very slow.

I'm still waiting for an answer to a question I have posed (twice now) regarding whether my car is fitted with a Teves Mk60 or Mk70 ABS. I started this query on 2nd March.

Call me cynical but I wonder if they have a bin where questions they would rather not answer (like about the ABS problem) are sent to stew forever.

More importantly I have several times in the past discovered that their answers are sometimes "economical with the actualite"

I tried to speak to Skoda (or rather VW finance) about the current finance offers. I was referred back to the dealership "they can answer all your questions", no they can't I replied, "they refered me to you", "in that case try a different dealer, I can't talk to you" So very helpful!

Not the best presale support.

They recently told me that they were struggling to keep on top of the emails - staffing shortages was the reason IIRC. But no probs. when I phoned. Just didn't get the answer I wanted!

Are these the same people that administer the 'extended warranties'?..if so they'd all be as well going home. I've had a torturous time trying to sort out the paperwork for the two years of cover I've bought...& despite the dealers help in confirming I've paid for two & proof of that...Skoda still insisted they were right in only sending paperwork for one year??? !!!!

Apparently it's fixed now...Skoda misunderstood....quite what there was to misunderstand, none of us can quite understand...there is still no sign of the revised paperwork...a frustrating & totally unecessary episode all round really !

My experience of SUK is pretty dire. I had a query that the dealer couldn't answer and was reffered to SUK. When they did respond they simply referred me to 'my local dealer' (and helpfully pasted in the name and address - which I already knew of course!). Eventually I did get some info out of them - but it was completely wrong!
