Just placed my Yeti order!

Featured Replies

Hi. Found your forum and thought I'd get past the glossy brochure blurb and see what people really think. Most people seem impressed so far. But if you take time to do this you either love em or hate em I guess!

I just placed my order for a a Yeti 2.0 TDI CR Elegance (2 wheel drive 110bhp) in black. Seemed the best spec for price (in my company lease scheme anyway). Not sure what the 110 engine will be like. Took a quick test drive in a 140 SE thanks to the very friendly man at Farmers Skoda Leics who let me loose with the family the other Sunday. Very impressed! Getting a test drive through the lease company is a joke. Their supplier offered me a drive in May!

Hope the move from my Civic will be positive. I love the Civic's small car to big engine power ratio but want something bigger that rides the B roads where I live more smoothly. Long wait though. Was told about 14 weeks lead time which puts delivery end of June.

If anyone's got something similar I'd love to hear about it!

Cheers Simon

Hi Pete

The benefit of the private sale over the company lease! Enjoy! I would rather have based my decision on a couple of days but was pretty convinced after 20 mins or so. Just hope the 110's not too much slower than the 140. Which model are you getting?

Amazing similaraties what! Well heres to the next 14 weeks - i think the time might drag!

I'm going to enjoy my Civic (also diesel 2.2 of course in Blue BTW) it's great down the Saxby Rd home! The 140 Elegance was pushing the costs for me. I did test drive a 140 and didn't find it too slow compared to the Civic. Not sure about the 110. It's deifinitely no sports car! Also non in the company car park! The BMWs and Audis are like a uniform. My colleague is getting a BMW 320D efficient dynamics for cheaper than I can get your Elegance 140. But it'll just be another of the flock. Also Skoda include so much more than Audi/BMW especially in Elegance trim! There I feel better now ;-)

Hi again. Know the Saxby rd well and its a good one for really having to drive/work a motor through the bends. I only managed to test drive a 110 Yeti and whilst not as quick off the mark pulled well, smooth and torquey enough for overtaking but pleased to here you found the 140 close to the Civic (the 2.2 engine in that to date is the most responsive diesel i've driven). It will be good to stand out from the main stream in the car park and on the roads! Well only another 13 weeks and 6 days approx' to go.Happy driving.

Hi Ellbell

I probably pass you everyday! I've jsut seen that you are from Nottingham, and as you said, you work in Melton. conversely I'm from Wymondham (nr Melton) and work in Nottingham. Guess I'll figure out who you are when I see your Yeti going the opposite way. Not got a date for mine yet. I think they're still processing the paperwork!
