New vRS

Featured Replies

Picked up my new Octavia vRS yesterday from Rainworth Skoda in Mansfield. Like to thank Dean who in Jeremy's absence sorted everything although I turned up a day early! Just driven 400+ miles to Aberdeen and can't stop smiling. What a car! Cruised beautifully, averaged 51 mpg (from the computer will fill her up later to check real figure). One query though my DRLs only come on when the lights are switched to the first setting and appear quite dull. should these come on when i start the engine? Away to give her a clean as she is manky!

Check in Maxidot, they should be on all the time, hence they are DRLs!

Mine did similar mpg on a run. After a check it appeared to be about 6% optimistic, meaning around 48 mpg. Pretty good :)

On the first light setting the DRLs should 'dull' to act as sidelights, but as already said as DRLs they should come on with the ignition. Check the option in the Maxidot, if you do not have Maxidot then it is back to the dealer to enable them.
